Leinster Rugby delivered yet another Dublin masterclass as they crushed Stade Toulousain 41-22 to reach the Heineken Champions Cup final for a second year running.

The Irish province ran in five tries to decimate the TOP 14 heavyweights – as they did in the 2022 semi-finals – and send the Aviva Stadium into delirium.

Jack Conan (2), Dan Sheehan, Josh van der Flier and Jason Jenkins dotted down for the hosts, with Ross Byrne producing a superb kicking display to add 16 points.

Toulouse were hampered by yellow cards for Thomas Ramos and Rodrigue Neti, managing three tries in response, through Pita Ahki, Emmanuel Meafou and Jack Willis.

There was another masterful home performance in the other semi-final as Stade Rochelais swatted aside Exeter Chiefs 47-28 in front of a sold-out Matmut ATLANTIQUE.

The game matched a cracking atmosphere in Bordeaux, with reigning champions La Rochelle going over through Raymond Rhule (2), Tawera Kerr Barlow (2), UJ Seuteni, Grégory Alldritt and Pierre Bourgarit.

It was the most points and most tries (seven) scored by a team in a Heineken Champions Cup semi-final.

It was a disappointing end for Exeter, who notched consolation tries through Sam Simmonds, Josh Iosefa-Scott, Olly Woodburn and Jack Yeandle, as they bid farewell to a number of players who helped them lift the trophy in 2020.
