2004/05: NEC Harlequins 19 Ospreys 46

Ospreys kept alive their Heineken Cup hopes alive with a six-try demolition of Harlequins at The Stoop, securing a first ever away success in the competition.

Wales centre Gavin Henson led the charge with a 26-point haul that included a try in each half while there were also touchdowns for the Welsh from Ryan Jones, Shane Williams, Matthew Jones and Stefan Terblanche.

Will Greenwood scored Quins' solitary try, while fly-half Adrian Jarvis kicked 14 points but it wasn’t enough to halt Heineken Man of the Match Henson, despite him only converting seven of his 12 attempts at the posts.

2007/08: Ospreys 48 Ulster Rugby 17

Ospreys’ best ever Heineken Cup pool campaign was highlighted with a seven-try bonus-point win over Ulster in 2008.

Sonny Parker claimed their first try on five minutes, with Justin Marshall also crossing before half-time in a commanding display from the Welsh region who led 15-3 at the break.

Alun Wyn Jones, Filo Tiatia and Lee Byrne added further tries while Nikki Walker grabbed a brace.

Ulster were limited to a powerful solo score from scrum-half Isaac Boss and Simon Danielli's late try, plus seven points kicked by Paddy Wallace.

2008/09: Ospreys 15 Leicester Tigers 9

Ospreys did enough to defeat eventual finalists Leicester Tigers 15-9 in a gritty success that wasn’t quite enough to dethrone the Welford Road side at the top of Pool 3 as they picked up a losing bonus point.

Ospreys led 6-3 at the break as James Hook won his kicking duel with opposite number Derick Hougaard.

Hook would kick three more penalties in the second half while Hougaard added two for the Tigers in a try-less match at the Liberty Stadium.

2012/13 Ospreys 17 Toulouse 6

Ospreys kept their hopes of a place in the Heineken Cup quarter-finals alive with a shock win over four-times champions Toulouse at the Liberty Stadium in Swansea.

The Welsh region produced a tremendous display to pull off one of the most notable pool wins in the 2012/13 tournament and deny Toulouse even a losing bonus point from their first defeat of the season’s pool stages.

A superb try by wing Eli Walker and the boot of Dan Biggar, who kicked 12 points, proved the difference between the two teams, with Toulouse’s sole points coming from Jean-Marc Doussain, who kicked a penalty and a drop-goal.

2017/18 Northampton Saints 32 Ospreys 43

Ospreys notched their first European Rugby Champions Cup win of the campaign in an 11-try extravaganza in Pool 2 at Franklin’s Gardens.

The Welsh region must have felt they were home and dry at 43-8 in front after two tries apiece from Dan Evans and Jeff Hassler, one each from Tom Habberfield and Kieron Fonotia, plus 13 points from the boot of Sam Davies.

However, Northampton made them sweat for victory with five tries of their own, including four in eight second-half minutes as Ospreys finished with 13 men after Rob McCusker was yellow-carded on 71 minutes and Hanno Dirksen was sent off for a dangerous tackle in the 78th minute.
