England head coach Eddie Jones has named four backs from two-time European Cup winners Leicester Tigers to start against New Zealand in their Rugby World Cup semi-final on Saturday in Yokohama. The Challenge Cup side will be represented by centre Manu Tuilagi, wing Jonny May, scrum-half Ben Youngs and fly-half George Ford, who returns to the side after only making the replacements bench for England’s quarter-final success over Australia last week. Tuilagi – who has scored 10 tries in 26 European Cup matches – will move to the outside centre position to facilitate for Saracens’ Owen Farrell, who takes the No.12 jersey with Ford taking over at fly-half. Leicester prop Dan Cole is the sole forward representative from the Challenge Cup, having been selected on the replacements bench. Elsewhere, three-time Champions Cup winner Billy Vunipola will win his 50th England cap on Saturday, having been selected in the back row alongside flankers Tom Curry and Sam Underhill. Speaking about the Saracens No.8, Eddie Jones said: “It is great achievement for Billy to reach 50 Test matches for England and something that is very special for the team. I know his family will be very proud of him and even more so to play the game alongside his brother Mako.”
