Pool 1: Sean Cronin (Leinster Rugby) It was a stellar European campaign for Cronin last time around, as he racked up six tries in the Heineken Champions Cup pool stages and Leinster reached the final at St. James’ Park in Newcastle, only to lose 20-10 to Saracens. The 33-year-old Irish international, who has played 69 Tests, has already won the European Cup on two occasions and the Challenge Cup in 2013. Pool 2: Facundo Bosch (La Rochelle) The former Jaguares and Agen hooker has made the move to La Rochelle during the off-season, bolstering the French club’s front row. Bosch made his debut in the Challenge Cup last year, playing four matches for Agen and scoring a try against Harlequins, and is now set for his Heineken Champions Cup bow. Pool 3: Scott Baldwin (Harlequins) Having spent the last 10 years of his career at Ospreys, Baldwin quit the Guinness PRO14 for the Gallagher Premiership in the summer to join Harlequins for the 2019/20 campaign. The 31-year-old Welsh international has made 37 appearances in European rugby, with 26 of them coming in the European Cup. [jwplayer KBEs2zmv] Pool 4: Jamie George (Saracens) The England No.2 will again be a crucial part of Saracens’ charge for yet another European crown as they bid to defend their Heineken Champions Cup title in 2019/20. The British and Irish Lion has been part of all three Sarries Champions Cup-winning sides and was Heineken Man of the Match on two occasions last season. In total, George has made 56 appearances in the European Cup, scoring five tries. Pool 5: Guilhem Guirado (Montpellier) A great capture from RC Toulon for Montpellier, the 33-year-old Guirado is a hugely experienced hooker and captain of France to boot. Altogether he has been capped 70 times by Les Bleus and has played 72 European games, with all but nine coming in the elite competition, where he captured a winners’ medal with Toulon in 2015.
