The five-time champions have been defeated at the Aviva Stadium in the semi-finals twice in the previous four seasons, losing 30-12 in 2019 and 40-17 last year.

But Dupont, who was the EPCR Player of the Year in 2021 and a nominee again this year, says Toulouse come into the Dublin showdown as a more complete package.

“The contexts were different each time,” he recalled. “The first time, our group was inexperienced and up against players sure of their strength. Last year, we arrived physically fatigued.

“This season, we've had a pretty efficient turnover. We arrive today with more physical but also mental freshness, while having learned from our past defeats. We have worked well since the beginning of the season. We can't wait to get to kick-off."

Dupont went on to assure that Toulouse are more motivated than ever to lift the Heineken Champions Cup for a sixth time, with recent international meetings between France and Ireland providing a further edge to the contest.

“It's a competition the club wants to win,” he stated. “We have already won it and we still want to win it.

“We find ourselves facing an opponent that we know very well, in club as well as in the national team, since 90% of the Leinster squad plays with Ireland.

“We will have to use that to win tomorrow (Saturday). We will give ourselves the chance to play one more game in this competition."
