Harlequins centre Ben Tapuai has labelled his side’s European Rugby Challenge Cup semi-final at ASM Clermont Auvergne on April 20 “a good challenge”. “They’re near the top of the TOP 14, so it will be a good challenge to go over there,” said the Australian, who scored Quins’ second try in their 18-16 quarter-final win at Gallagher Premiership rivals Worcester Warriors last Saturday. Clermont and the London club have met four times in European competition so far, with the French side winning three. He told Quins TV: “We were able to come down to Worcester and to move forward in a competition that we want to win, and gave a decent account of ourselves. “It was tough, tense and not a great game as a coach to watch, as there were mistakes, but for me, the most positive thing is that the team stuck to their task and showed resilience, fight and determination.”
