Bordeaux-Begles rallied from 19-14 down to defeat La Rochelle 31-22 with two tries from wing Geoffrey Cros in the TOP 14, while Edinburgh Rugby cruised past Connacht Rugby 41-14 via tries from props Simon Berghan and Pierre Schoeman as well as wing Duhan van der Merwe in the Guinness PRO14.

The two sides – who met in the Challenge Cup pool stages – will do battle for a third time this season in the last eight on April 4, live from Stade Chaban-Delmas on BT Sport and beIN SPORTS.

Elsewhere, Bristol Bears edged out Worcester Warriors 13-10 in the Gallagher Premiership and Scarlets ran in five tries as they defeated South African side Southern Kings 36-17 in the Guinness PRO14.

The Welsh region open up the Challenge Cup quarter-finals with a trip to pool stage rivals RC Toulon on April 3 while Bristol host the final last eight match against Dragons at Ashton Gate on April 5.

Castres Olympique were also successful in the TOP 14, with fly-half Benjamin Urdapilleta scoring 13 points as they saw off Pau 26-16 at Stade Pierre-Fabre. The French side travel to Leicester Tigers in their Challenge Cup quarter-final on April 4.

Five European Rugby Challenge Cup quarter-finalists were victorious at the weekend, with the likes of Bordeaux-Begles and Edinburgh Rugby continuing to transfer their excellent European form onto the domestic stage.
