Bath Rugby wing Ruaridh McConnochie will make his England debut on Saturday in a Rugby World Cup warm-up clash with Wales at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff. The 27-year-old – who played in both Bath’s Heineken Champions Cup pool-stage matches against Leinster Rugby last season – was set to feature in the Test between the two nations at Twickenham last weekend but missed out due to injury. However, the Olympic sevens silver medallist is now fit and so is one of three changes made by England head coach Eddie Jones after his side’s 33-19 win over Wales last Sunday. The other two see Saracens forward Maro Itoje recalled to the second row and Northampton Saints forward Courtney Lawes return at blindside flanker. Wales head coach Warren Gatland has also made three changes to last weekend’s team, with the most notable being the recall of Northampton fly-half Dan Biggar, who replaces injured Ospreys back Gareth Anscombe.
