Fly-half Paddy Jackson will make his 50th appearance for London Irish on Saturday as they face fellow EPCR Challenge Cup contenders Newcastle Falcons in the Gallagher Premiership.

It is the two sides’ final domestic fixture before their respective EPCR Challenge Cup campaigns get underway next weekend.

Jackson will line up at the Brentford Community Stadium in a half-back partnership with scrum-half Nick Phipps, while Bernhard Van Rensburg and Curtis Rona continues in midfield.

Irish have made one change to the pack, as lock Steve Mafi replaces Adam Coleman in the second row.

Argentina international Juan Martin Gonzalez could make his debut for the club if called up from the replacements.

Meanwhile, Newcastle have made six changes to the side that drew 24-24 to another EPCR Challenge Cup side, Worcester Warriors, last weekend.

Flanker Gary Graham and No.8 Callum Chick come into the back row, with Will Haydon-Wood replacing Joel Hodgson at fly-half.

Luther Burrell and Max Wright form the Newcastle centre partnership, with Tom Penny starting on the right wing.

Fellow EPCR Challenge Cup side Worcester host Wasps and Saracens face Exeter Chiefs at Sandy Park, with Mark McCall naming three changes to his starting XV.

Flanker Ben Earl comes into the back row, while Elliot Daly and Alex Lewington are named on the wings.

Dragons are away at Glasgow Warriors in the United Rugby Championship, while in the TOP 14, Biarritz Olympique travel to ASM Clermont Auvergne and USAP visit last season’s Challenge Cup winners Montpellier Hérault Rugby.

Two all-EPCR Challenge Cup encounters see Section Paloise and Lyon welcome RC Toulon and CA Brive respectively.
