The Ireland centre picked out 21-year-old forward Ryan Baird and fly-half Harry Byrne, who both played their part as Leinster recorded back-to-back bonus-point successes to sit top of Heineken Champions Cup Pool A.

Baird has already collected a Heineken Star award for his man-of-the-match display against Northampton Saints in December, while Byrne, Ross’ younger brother, made his European debut against Montpellier as a replacement the same month.

“The pair of them are probably exciting guys to be watching,” said the 26-year-old Ringrose, who made the first of his 32 European appearances in 2015.

Looking back at his first memories of the Heineken Cup, ironically it was the success of Irish rivals ]Munster Rugby that Ringrose recalls most vividly.

“Being honest, watching Munster win the Heineken Cup was probably my earliest memory and then, thankfully, getting the opportunity to see Leinster do what they did before I was involved in the set-up. Each of those carry similar weight,” he said.

“Obviously, against Leicester, then that Ulster final and I think what they did against Northampton, that turnaround - they all stay pretty vividly in my memory. But my first one, unfortunately, is seeing Munster win it!”

Who is the hardest trainer in your squad?

In the gym, it’s probably Andrew Porter. On the pitch, Hugo Keenan.

Who’s the fastest?

It could be Hugo Keenan as well. I think Ryan Baird’s up there [too] and Tommy O’Brien - there are a few of them. I could be leaving some out. I’m not too sure.

Who’s the strongest?

I think Ports [Andrew Porter], probably.

Who’s the most skilful?

I think Ciarán Frawley. Some of the stuff he’s pulling out in the games recently, he’s probably up there.

Who has the best banter?

James Lowe.

Who could be a future captain?

James Ryan.

And finally, a future coach?

Johnny Sexton.
