Conference B leaders Munster were in control for most of the game at Thomond Park, and went into the half time interval with a 10-6 lead thanks to a Tadhg Beirne try, converted by JJ Hanrahan who also slotted a penalty.

Leinster stayed in touch through two Johnny Sexton penalties, and with just over ten minutes to play, Larmour collected a Ross Byrne kick to score the decisive try.

In the TOP 14 there were huge wins for Heineken Champions Cup sides ASM Clermont Auvergne and Toulouse.

Clermont thumped Castres 59-19 with Morgan Parra kicking 20 points, two tries apiece from Alivereti Raka and Etienne Fourcade, along with scores from Tani Vili, Damian Penaud and Paul Jedrasiak.

Toulouse racked up the same points tally in a 59-0 win away at Agen, with winger Matthis Lebel scoring a hat-trick, a brace from Julien Marchand, and further tries from Antoine Dupont, Alban Placines and Peato Mauvaka.

Lyon, who currently sit top of Pool B in the Heineken Champions Cup, picked up their eighth TOP 14 win of the season as Xavier Mignot, Noa Nakaitaci and Colby Fainga’a all crossed in a 21-16 triumph at Montpellier.
