Put your calculators away and check out the form for the sixth and final round of Heineken Cup Pool matches with ERC's forensic examination of the permutations in each of the six Pools. This is how things stand as qualification for the quarter-finals closes in.

Pool 1
With a four-point cushion over Northampton Saints, Leinster need just one point from Friday’s home game against Ospreys to win the pool and seal their place in the knockout stage. Northampton are still in the running for the Heineken Cup quarter- finals if they defeat Castres Olympique and if Leinster slip up at the RDS, and they also have one eye on a spot in the last eight of the Amlin Challenge Cup. Castres can also qualify for the Amlin Challenge Cup if results go their way.

Pool 2
Last season’s champions, Toulon, are confirmed as pool winners and will be chasing a home quarter-final when they travel to Glasgow in Round 6. Glasgow, along with Cardiff Blues and Exeter Chiefs who meet at Cardiff Arms Park, are in contention for a place in the Amlin Challenge Cup. The Blues won the Amlin Challenge Cup in 2010.

Pool 3
Toulouse are through to the Heineken Cup knockout stage for the 15th time in their history - equalling the achiement of Munster - and will be in pursuit of a home quarter-final when they take on Zebre in Parma. Saracens are very much in the mix and a home win over Connacht will ensure their qualification. But Connacht, who caused the upset of the tournament with their win in Toulouse, can still qualify for either the Heineken Cup or the Amlin Challenge Cup last eight with a victory at Allianz Park. Ireland has never provided four teams to the last eight of the Heineken Cup.

Pool 4
ASM Clermont Auvergne are pool winners and will look to continue a 70-game unbeaten run at Stade Marcel-Michelin and challenge for a home quarter-final when they host Racing Metro in Round 6 - the only tem to have beaten them in Europe this season. Harlequins and Scarlets, who clash at Parc y Scarlets on Sunday, are on 12 and 10 points respectively and are both in contention for an Amlin Challenge Cup quarter-final place.

Pool 5
Both Ulster and Leicester Tigers are into the quarter-finals with the pool winner to be decided by a mouthwatering clash at Welford Road on Saturday. A win or a draw for Ulster would guarantee them a home quarter-final, while a win for Leicester would see them at home in the last eight unless Ulster manage to register two bonus points in defeat. Ulster are bidding to become the 11th team to maintain a 100% pool record since home and away games came into being.

Pool 6
Munster are confirmed as pool winners and will in reality probably need to beat Edinburgh with a bonus point at Thomond Park on Sunday and hope that results elsewhere go their way to secure that coveted home quarter-final. Edinburgh are right in contention for a place in the last eight of the Amlin Challenge Cup, and will be seking a notable double over Munster having beaten them at Murrayfield in Round 1. Gloucester, who travel to Perpignan, have an outside chance of reaching the Amlin knockout stage.
