Montpellier head to the Stade Marcel Deflandre after seeing off a Harlequins fightback in their Round of 16 second leg to win 60-59 on aggregate, with last season’s EPCR Challenge Cup winners now looking to cement a place in the semi-finals.

Last season’s runners-up La Rochelle now stand between them and the last four, with Montpellier hooker Guirado hoping the visitors can upset Ronan O’Gara’s men.

He said: “We approach this match without pressure compared to the fact that we will play away and that we have nothing to lose in this competition.

“We take a little pressure off ourselves but we know it’s going to be a big meeting so we have to keep it to a minimum.

“They will have a lot of pressure on their shoulders. They're so prestigious, exceptional these kind of matches.”

Having won the European Cup with RC Toulon in 2014/15, Guirado knows exactly what it takes to succeed in this competition and will no doubt be hoping for another winners’ medal with his Montpellier teammates.

“We can’t wait for Saturday to play a big game and win it,” he said. “The match finally comes at the right time.

“What is certain is that we have to turn our backs, stay united among ourselves and above all, work hard.

“There are many things to review, which are not necessarily pleasant, but when you claim to play the leading roles as we have been doing since the beginning of the year, you have to do better.”

Guilhem Guirado has said Montpellier Hérault Rugby will play without any pressure during their Heineken Champions Cup quarter-final at Stade Rochelais and insists all the expectations will be on the hosts ahead of their all-TOP 14 showdown on Saturday.
