Glasgow today confirmed their list of leavers for 2022/23 and those five will join Scotland flanker Ryan Wilson, whose departure after 13 years with the club was confirmed last month.

The five are Scotland centre Sam Johnson, who moves on after eight years at Scotstoun, lock Lewis Bean, winger Cole Forbes, Scotland prop Simon Berghan and flanker Cameron Neild.

Head coach Franco Smith told the club website: “Thank you to Ryan, Sam, Lewis, Cole, Simon and Cameron for their contributions to the club this season. I am grateful for their hard work and wish them all the very best in their new challenges.

“After a season like this it is difficult to say goodbye to players that bought in and contributed the way they did. They have all played a valuable part in helping us to reach the league quarter-finals and will keep doing so as we continue preparations for our first ever European final.”

Six Glasgow Warriors will be aiming to end their careers with the Scottish club on a high by helping them win their first EPCR honour in the EPCR Challenge Cup final against RC Toulon in Dublin on May 19.
