James Lowe (Leinster Rugby)

The Ireland wing has become something of a Heineken Champions Cup specialist in the last few seasons, scoring several important tries as Leinster go in search of a record-breaking fifth star. He’s featured in the Guinness 6 Nations in the last two months and has returned fully fit so expect Lowe to shine and get your Fantasy XV off to a flier in the opening knockout stage match against RC Toulon.

Levani Botia (La Rochelle)

Levani Botia burst onto the European scene a few seasons ago and has proven to be an excellent option for La Rochelle, who reached the Challenge Cup final in 2019. He is known for his trademark burst of pace as well as tackle busts and the occasional stunning offload. The versatile flanker also managed to get on the scoresheet in last week’s TOP 14 win over Bordeaux-Begles, so could hardly be coming into Friday night’s away clash at Gloucester Rugby in better form. Expect points and plenty of them from the powerful Fijian.

Sam Simmonds (Exeter Chiefs)

Last season’s EPCR European Player of the Year needs no introduction and is a no-brainer for your Fantasy XV this weekend. He was rested by head coach Rob Baxter last week, so should have no problem making a major impact against Lyon, having been freshened up for potentially two European clashes in as many weekends.

Liam Williams (Scarlets)

Scarlets full-back Liam Williams has plenty of Heineken Champions Cup pedigree, having enjoyed success at Saracens and will no doubt be looking for more of the same. His side host Sale Sharks in the final Round of 16 match, and given his form for Wales in recent weeks, it would be no shock if he again got on the scoresheet in this one.
