The Heineken Champions Cup finalists scored two tries before the break to give them a 14-6 lead, with Jonny Hill and Luke Cowan-Dickie both crossing the whitewash after a typically powerful set of phases from the forward pack.

EPCR European Player of the Year nominee Stuart Hogg bagged a third Exeter try before the Chiefs put the match beyond any doubt with a second from Hill and a late score from Ollie Devoto.

They will face Racing 92 next weekend at Ashton Gate in what looks set to be a thrilling Heineken Champions Cup final, having defeated Toulouse 28-18 in the semi-finals last month.

However, Challenge Cup finalists Bristol Bears could not join their fellow European compatriots in a domestic final, falling to a 47-24 semi-final defeat to Wasps on Saturday afternoon.

The Bears found themselves 23-5 down at the break in Coventry, with Luke Morahan providing the sole score for the visitors.

They would hit back with a powerful driving maul early in the second period, with Harry Thacker the man to dot down and cut gap to 11 after Callum Sheedy made the sideline conversion.

But that was as good as it got for Bristol as Wasps ripped through the visitors’ defence in the second half, with consolation tries from Harry Randall and Max Malins proving too little too late as the Coventry-based side ran out comfortable winners.
