The French giants go in search of a fifth European crown at Twickenham Stadium, having not reached the showpiece final since lifting their fourth European Cup in 2010.

That history is not lost on the French international Dupont, who has already scored four tries in this season’s competition and is nominated for EPCR European Player of the Year.

“Of course we’ve been building up to the final for a few weeks now and realising how important it could be for the club,” said Dupont.

“Stepping inside the stadium where we’ll be playing and seeing the trophy on its throne in the middle of the pitch makes it all the more real. We can’t wait for tomorrow.

“We’ve been falling short at the semi-final stage for several years now. We know the history that this club has with this competition.

“When I first came here, I immediately felt how important it was to the club, not only to the players and the coaching staff, but also to the fans.

“Certainly, since winning the TOP 14 in 2019, we’re even more motivated to win the [Heineken] Champions Cup.

“We’ve now managed to get to the final, so it’s our job to play [well] so that we can add our names to the list of winners.”

Dupont also sent out a warning to La Rochelle, stating that if they focused too much on the in-form scrum-half, his explosive teammates like Romain Ntamack and Cheslin Kolbe will take full advantage.

“I think that, if they do focus more on me, they’re going to leave more space for my teammates,” the 24-year-old added.

“We’re lucky to have a dangerous team across the pitch, so I’m not worried about that.”
