The defending champions put in a blistering first half display to lead 22-3 at the break courtesy of 16 points from EPCR European Player of the Year Alex Goode and held off a Leinster fightback in the second period to eventually run out 25-17 winners, ending the winning streak of the Irish province that dated back to the 2019 Heineken Champions Cup final.

That win means Saracens will travel to Paris in the semi-finals to face Racing 92, who put in a similarly impressive away performance to cruise past ASM Clermont Auvergne 36-27 at Stade Marcel-Michelin.

First half tries from Louis Dupichot and Francois Trinh-Duc sent the Parisians on the way to the semi-finals with scrum-half Teddy Iribaren adding 20 points from the kicking tee.

The second semi-final will feature the No.2 and No.3 seeds in Exeter Chiefs and Toulouse, who both recorded comfortable successes in the last eight this weekend.
