Sale Sharks flanker Tom Curry will make his Six Nations debut on Saturday, after being selected for England’s opening clash with Ireland in Dublin following a string of impressive European Rugby Challenge Cup displays. The 20-year-old featured in five matches as Sale topped Pool 3, helping them secure a home quarter-final against Connacht Rugby. After earning his first cap against Argentina in June 2017, Curry will win his sixth against an Ireland side featuring Connacht Rugby centre Bundee Aki, whom he has already faced in the Challenge Cup this season. The other Sale player in Eddie Jones’ 23 this weekend is wing or full-back Chris Ashton, who has racked up seven tries from five Challenge Cup matches, including a hat-trick against Connacht in Round 2, and is on the replacements’ bench in Dublin.
