Here, we’ve taken a look at all the individual attacking statistics for the 2022/23 Heineken Champions Cup.

Carries: Grégory Alldritt (Stade Rochelais), 129

Alldritt was an inspiration for his side as he made an average of just over 16 carries per game, including 17 in the final against Leinster Rugby – at least five more than any other player.

Montpellier Hérault Rugby No.8 Zach Mercer was second on 89 despite only playing five times as his side was eliminated in the Round of 16, while Leinster full-back Hugo Keenan was the leading back and third overall on 83.

Metres made: Brice Dulin (Stade Rochelais), 454

Full-back Dulin was a persistent threat during La Rochelle’s triumphant campaign, most notably on the biggest stage in the final. He gained 109 metres in Dublin, more than double any other player and nearly a quarter of his total tally for the season.

Leinster wing Jimmy O’Brien got over for an early try against La Rochelle but wasn’t afforded too much space, ending his eight-game campaign on a total 450 metres gained, 23 more than Cell C Sharks fly-half Curwin Bosch managed in just five appearances.

Line breaks: Jimmy O’Brien (Leinster Rugby), 13

O’Brien featured prominently in Leinster’s slick back line throughout this season’s Heineken Champions Cup, and it is perhaps no surprise that he leads the way when it comes to line breaks.

Stade Toulousain scrum-half Antoine Dupont, who is renowned for his darts around the corner, managed 10, one more than DHL Stormers full-back Suleiman Hartzenberg.

Defenders beaten: Antoine Dupont (Stade Toulousain), 27

Dupont couldn’t fire Toulouse to the Heineken Champions Cup final as they were thrashed at Leinster, but he was typically busy in the semi-finals, beating seven defenders, the second most of any player across the two games.

Harlequins back Nick David racked up a commendable 25 despite playing two games less than Dupont while Alldritt crops up again, beating the joint-most defenders in the final (four) to take his overall figure to 23, the same as Cell C Sharks wing Makazole Mapimpi.

Offloads: Antoine Dupont (Stade Toulousain), 19

Dupont was also by far the most efficient when it came to offloads this season, completing eight in the semi-finals – at least three more than any other player.

Cell C Sharks flanker Siya Kolisi and Saracens centre Nick Tompkins managed 14 and 13 respectively, having played a game less than Dupont.

Stade Rochelais captain Grégory Alldritt was named EPCR Player of the Year after leading his team to a second successive Heineken Champions Cup title, and the No.8’s stellar campaign saw him finish among the competition’s leading attackers.
