Stade Toulousain scrum-half Antoine Dupont, the EPCR Player of the Year in 2021 and on the longlist for this year’s award too, has added to his collection of individual honours by being named 2023 Six Nations Player of the Championship.

The France captain beat Toulouse teammate Thomas Ramos and ASM Clermont Auvergne wing Damian Penaud to the title, along with three members of Ireland’s Grand Slam-winning squad – Leinster Rugby No.8 Caelan Doris and full-back Hugo Keenan, plus Connacht Rugby wing Mack Hansen.

All six are set to line up for their clubs this weekend in the Heineken Champions Cup and EPCR Challenge Cup Round of 16.

Dupont, the second player in the Six Nations award’s history to claim the title three times after polling 26% of the votes, and Ramos are scheduled to face Vodacom Bulls at Le Stadium on Sunday, the day before Doris and Keenan should take on Ulster Rugby at the Aviva Stadium.

Meanwhile in the EPCR Challenge Cup, Penaud is poised for a trip to Bristol Bears on Friday, the day before Hansen should visit Benetton Rugby.
