Mack Hansen, who plays for EPCR Challenge Cup Irish province Connacht Rugby, was crucial in Ireland’s 34-20 win over Italy as they continued their search for a Six Nations grand slam.

Wing Hansen first crossed in the 35th minute to secure Ireland’s bonus point, before going over again in the 71st in a crucial moment, Italy threatening Ireland’s perfect run in the competition this year.

Connacht’s Bundee Aki was also involved in the try scoring, the centre going over in the first 40 whilst also having a good game overall with the ball in hand.

Hansen’s performance saw him get a deserved Man of the Match, and both he and Aki are set to return to Italy with Connacht when the Irish province takes on Benetton Rugby in the EPCR Challenge Cup Round of 16 on April 1.
