Edinburgh Rugby’s Blair Kinghorn, who has been recalled by Scotland at fly-half
Blair Kinghorn scored a superb try as a contingent from Heineken Champions Cup side Edinburgh Rugby helped Scotland romp to a 35-7 win over Wales in the Six Nations Championship at BT Murrayfield on Saturday.
The utility back, who notched 24 points over the final two rounds of the Heineken Champions Cup pool stage to see Edinburgh through to a Round of 16 trip to Leicester Tigers on March 31, crossed for Scotland’s bonus-point try.
Prop Pierre Schoeman, a Heineken Star of the Match in Round 4, was a key presence up front, while lock Grant Gilchrist and flankers Jamie Ritchie and Luke Crosbie also showcased how crucial they will be to Edinburgh’s Heineken Champions Cup hopes.

Wing Duhan van der Merwe was a regular threat for Scotland and his return ahead of the Heineken Champions Cup knockout stage will be a welcome boost for Edinburgh, having only featured in Round 1 so far.
Experienced prop WP Nel was the other Edinburgh player involved as he came off the bench in the final quarter of an hour to ensure Scotland saw out their second straight Six Nations win.
