A seven-strong contingent of Stade Toulousain stars feature in France’s starting XV for their Autumn Nations Series opener against Australia at Stade de France on Saturday.

Several of those starters helped Toulouse lift the Heineken Champions Cup in 2021 and will be looking to help the TOP 14 side secure a sixth star when they kick off this campaign at Munster Rugby on December 11.

Prop Cyril Baille and hooker Julien Marchand are included in the front row, with lock Thibaud Flament and flanker Anthony Jelonch the other Toulouse men in the pack.

2021 EPCR European Player of the Year Antoine Dupont captains the side and forms a familiar half-back pairing with clubmate Romain Ntamack, while Thomas Ramos is at full-back.

France’s team features further Heineken Champions Cup winners in the form of prop Uini Atonio, No.8 Grégory Alldritt and centre Jonathan Danty, who helped Stade Rochelais lift EPCR’s top prize for the first time last season.

There are two Racing 92 representatives in the XV in lock Cameron Woki and centre Gaël Fickou, while Union Bordeaux-Bègles and ASM Clermont Auvergne have one apiece in respective wings Yoram Moefana and Damian Penaud.
