EPCR Challenge Cup side CA Brive have announced that Arnaud Mela has been appointed as interim head coach following the departure of Jeremy Davidson.

Mela, 42, spent nine years at Brive as a player between 2008 and 2017, and turned out 15 times for the club in EPCR competitions.

Prior to that, the lock had a spell with SC Albi, where he featured seven times in the Challenge Cup.

Mela will be in charge for just under two months of domestic action before 1997 Heineken Cup winners Brive begin their EPCR Challenge Cup campaign at Cardiff Rugby on December 10.
