ASM Clermont Auvergne winger Damian Penaud and Stade Toulousain hooker Peato Mauvaka scored two tries each as France beat Georgia 41-15 in the Autumn Nations Series at Stade de France on Sunday.

Penaud is a key figure in the Clermont side, scoring three tries in four games in last season’s Heineken Champions Cup, while Mauvaka featured four times for Toulouse as they lifted the trophy.

Penaud will look to add to his tally when Clermont get their Pool A campaign under way at home to Ulster Rugby on December 11, while Mauvaka heads into Toulouse’s Pool B encounter at Cardiff Rugby on the same day seeking his first try in European rugby.

Union Bordeaux-Bègles fly-half Matthieu Jalibert also crossed for France, with Penaud and Mauvaka notching either side of half-time before the pair grabbed their second tries in the closing stages of the game.
