Three-time European Cup winners Saracens produced a scintillating 10-try performance in a 71-17 demolition of Bath Rugby at the Recreation Ground on Sunday afternoon.

England international Max Malins starred with a hat-trick for the visitors – Jamie George recording a brace in addition to solo efforts from Maro Itoje, Ben Earl, Eroni Mawi, Rotimi Segun and Dom Morris. Owen Farrell contributed a further 19 points with the boot for the EPCR Challenge Cup Pool C contenders.

A shell-shocked Bath, who trailed 45-0 at the interval, replied with three second half tries – Tom de Glanville, Tom Ellis and Will Muir dotting down.

Elsewhere, two-time Challenge Cup winners Gloucester Rugby earned a hard-fought 25-25 draw against London Irish at the Brentford Community Stadium.

Ben Morgan notched a brace for Gloucester with Louis Rees-Zammit also on target for the visitors – Agustin Creevy, Isaac Curtis-Harris and Matt Rogerson touching down for London Irish in response.

In the Top 14, EPCR Challenge Cup Pool B side Lyon OU upset Heineken Champions Cup holders Stade Toulousain 25-19 – Beka Saghinadze, Dylan Cretin and Baptiste Couilloud on the scoresheet.
