Newcastle Falcons fly-half Brett Connon has told the latest Challenge Cup Show that the Kingston Park club will be looking to “put a few wrongs right” when they visit Leicester Tigers in Saturday’s European Rugby Challenge Cup quarter-final.
The Falcons lost a Gallagher Premiership match at Mattioli Woods Welford Road 26-12 on March 28, when Connon admitted Newcastle “missed a few opportunities”.
"We got a bit of a shock in those first 20 minutes going 14-0 down…"

“This is a good opportunity to go back there and put our best foot forward,” he tells the Challenge Cup Show, which features highlights from all eight Round of 16 ties.
“We know they have a strong pack and a good kicking game, so it’s going to be a tough battle, but hopefully we can get one back on them.”
Also on the Challenge Cup Show, Montpellier hooker Guilhem Guirado explains why European rugby is so vital to clubs as he looked ahead to a home quarter-final against Benetton Rugby on Saturday.
“These are very important matches that will allow us to improve our level of play, because they offer us much more intensity and a higher level of play too,” he says.
“So, we are very happy to take part in this competition because we had a very bad start in the Heineken Champions Cup by losing the first two games. But we are very satisfied to be back in the Challenge Cup and we will do our very best.”
