Racing 92 wing Simon Zebo has admitted he cannot wait for the return of Heineken Champions Cup action in September when his side travel to face fellow French side ASM Clermont Auvergne.

The 2018 finalists topped a tough Pool 4 featuring Munster Rugby and Saracens to reach the last eight but must win at the Stade Marcel Michelin against the current Challenge Cup holders if they want to reach the last four for the second time in three seasons.

And Zebo – who has scored 29 tries in 57 Champions Cup appearances – admitted he can’t wait for the all-French clash on 19 September, live on beIN SPORTS and BT Sport.

“We can’t wait to get back to European action and it’s at the forefront of everyone’s mind at the club,” said the 30-year-old.

We have a huge quarter-final to play against Clermont which everyone is hugely excited about.

“For us to get back to European rugby is very exciting and we have a very exciting squad.

It’s a trophy we definitely want to secure so fingers crossed we can do it.
