The 23-year-old – who scored two tries in last season’s Challenge Cup – collected a loose ball off the ground on his own 25 metre line, beating three Krasny Yar opponents as he sprinted 75 metres to score an incredible try.

Enisei-STM – who won last season’s Continental Shield with a 36-8 win over Krasny Yar in Edinburgh – took a 25-point lead into the second leg after a 47-22 win in Krasnodar and finished the job off with a narrow victory away from home.

This season’s opponents will be Heidelberger RK, who overturned a 26-20 defeat in the first leg against Timisoara Saracens to win 27-15 in the return fixture, earning a place at the showpiece finals weekend.

The final is to be held at Campo de Rugby Fadura in Getxo during European finals weekend on Saturday, 12 May.
