Try hero Keith Earls believes Heineken Cup Pool 6 leaders Munster still have a massive improvement in them as they reach the second half of the qualifying stages.
The Ireland and British & Irish Lions wing raced clear from half-way to score his side’s third try near the end of the first half as Munster sped towards a bonus point win that took them to the top of the Pool.
“Our forwards were great. We knew they were coming with a big, physical pack and we got caught on the edge a couple of times in defence,” said Earls.
“The last couple of weeks we have been winning without playing well, but we scored some good tries today. But there is still another 30% in us at the moment.
“It’s going to be a massive task for us next week, but we got a good result down there a few years ago and that should give us some confidence.”
Earls was among four players who figured in the win at Thomond Park who were in the side that triumphed 37-14 at Stade Aimee Giral in the 2009/10 season. Munster won by a point at home and then picked up a precious bonus point on the road the net weekend as they worked their way through to the semi-finals.
