The former Scotland second row, Scott Murray, has joined French Top 14 club and Amlin Challenge Cup participants, Mont-de-Marsan, according to the rugby newspaper, Midi Olympique.

Murray, who has made 65 appearances in ERC matches with Saracens, Edinburgh Rugby, Montauban and most recently, Castres Olympique, joins Mont-de-Marsan on a two-year deal.

The French club won promotion to the Top 14 last season, and will compete in the 2012/13 Amlin Challenge Cup in Pool 1 with Gloucester Rugby, London Irish and Bordeaux-Bègles.
