Sale Sharks will be looking to get their Amlin Challenge Cup campaign back on the road when they host Spanish champions CR La Vila at Edgeley Park on Friday night.

The double Amlin Challenge Cup champions, who lifted the trophy in 2002 and 2005, will have been disappointed with the manner of their defeat and their lack of discipline during the 26-18 defeat to Brive in France.

The Sharks will be determined to get a bonus point victory over CR La Vila, who are in their first season of European rugby and suffered a one-sided 50-10 defeat at home to Agen.

CR La Vila, who won Spain’s 10-team Division De Honour last season, will be hoping to learn the lessons of last weekend’s defeat as they experience their first away game in Europe

Agen v Brive
(Sunday November 20th)

AGEN host Brive in what promises to be one of the game’s of the second round in a classic all-French clash at the Stade Alfred-Armandie on Sunday evening.

Brive will be looking to build on their impressive 26-18 victory over Sale at home when they travel to take on an Agen outfit who will expect a tough test against their fellow countrymen.

Agen rattled off a 50-10 bonus point victory over Spanish champions CR La Vila last weekend but know they will do well to emerge with a bonus point in their first home game of this campaign.

Brive, who won the Heineken Cup in 1997, will want to make their most of last weekend’s victory and notch up a second win to put them at the head of Pool 5.
