Following the magnificent final in front of a world club rugby union record attendance of 81,076 in Twickenham Stadium European rugby fans are already looking forward to the 2007/08 Heineken Cup season.

London Wasps will go into the 13th season of the tournament as England top seeds after winning the all-England Heineken Cup final with a commanding 25-9 victory over Leicester Tigers at Twickenham.

A world record crowd for a club match of 81,076 saw Lawrence Dallaglio lead his underdogs to victory and their second Heineken Cup crown while denying former double winners Leicester by outscoring them 2-0 in tries.

It means Wasps have played in three European Finals and won the lot – the European Challenge Cup in 2003 and the Heineken Cup in 2004 and 2007. 

Further details regarding the 2007/08 European club rugby calendar will be announced shortly on The Pool Draw for the 2007/08 Heineken Cup will be made in the middle of June.

The venue of the 13th Heineken Cup final will be announced on as soon as is it available.
