FAQs about 2020 Finals
Due to the many uncertainties created by the COVID-19 pandemic, and with tens of thousands of fans scheduled to travel to the south of France, it has been decided that the 2020 Heineken Champions Cup and Challenge Cup finals will not be staged in Marseille as planned. The matches will now be played at an alternative venue or venues on the weekend of 16/17/18 October.

FINALS WEEKEND
Q: When will the 2020 finals be played?
A: The 2020 Heineken Champions Cup and Challenge Cup finals are scheduled for the weekend of 16/17/18 October.
Q: Where will the matches be played?
A: EPCR is currently working with its shareholder leagues and unions to secure an alternative venue or venues for the two finals. Details will be announced as soon as practicable.
Q: Why have the finals been moved from Marseille?
A: EPCR and the local organising committee have decided that insufficient safeguards are in place for all stakeholders during the public health crisis to stage two high-profile matches at the 67,000-capacity Stade Vélodrome.
Q: What is the situation regarding the 2021 and 2022 finals weekends?
A: As part of this adjustment to its future planning, EPCR is pleased to confirm that Marseille will now host the 2021 Heineken Champions Cup and Challenge Cup finals at the Stade Vélodrome on the weekend of 21/22 May, and that the matches at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London will be rescheduled for 2022.
TICKETS FOR THE FINALS WEEKEND
Q: Are tickets purchased for this season’s finals valid for the 2021 matches in Marseille?
A: Yes. All ticket holders will shortly receive an information email confirming that this season’s tickets will be valid for the 2021 finals. There will be no change to the ticket category or seat, and no additional charges.
Q: Are ticket refunds available for the 2020 finals?
A: Yes, All fans who have bought tickets for the 2020 finals will shortly receive an information email with details of how to secure a full refund if required.
Q: What is the process for ticket refunds?
A: The information email will explain how the process works. Refunds in full will be made by bank transfer to the ticket holder’s bank account. In order to request a refund, ticket holders should have the following:
(i) Your ticket transaction number
(ii) Your email address
(iii) Your IBAN and BIC numbers
Q: Is there a deadline for ticket refund requests?
A: Yes. Requests need to be made before Friday 31 July.
