Wales scrum half Dwayne Peel helped himself to two tries as last season's Heineken Cup semi-finalists made a great start to their Pool 3 campaign.

Playing into the stiff breeze in the first half, the Scarlets were happy to go into the break a point ahead after withstanding some heavy Glasgow pressure.

Winger Garan Evans, flanker Ian Boobyer and prop Martyn Madden crossed for Llanelli's other tries as they cruised to victory in the second half.

Wales outside half Stepehn Jones kicked 17 points and his replacement Gareth Bowen chipped in with a penalty to complete the rout.

Lock Jason White and flanker Donnie Macfadyen went over for tries for Glasgow, with Tommy Hayes adding a conversion and a penalty.
