Newcastle Falcons will hope two key signings this summer can aid their EPCR Challenge Cup assault in 2023/24.

The English Premiership outfit go up against Montpellier Hérault Rugby, Ospreys, Benetton Rugby and USAP in Pool 2 of next season’s competition and will know that a strong squad is required to reach the knockout stage.

The additions of Eduardo Bello and Rory Jennings provide Newcastle with a significant boost, with the duo providing added talent in the forwards and backs respectively.

Prop Bello heads to Kingston Park after a season with three-time Champions Cup winners Saracens, though his EPCR experience came during a prior stint with Zebre Parma.

The Argentina international played over 80 times for the Italian side, with 20 of those games – and one try - coming in the Challenge Cup.

Meanwhile, fly-half Jennings joins from London Irish, where he made five EPCR appearances over the previous two campaigns and kicked 11 points.

The 27-year-old also had a spell with ASM Clermont Auvergne in France, and started his career with Bath Rugby.
