With their EPCR Challenge Cup Round of 16 home tie against Sale Sharks just over a week away, Cardiff Rugby recall flanker James Botham and fly-half Rhys Priestland after injury for Friday’s BKT United Rugby Championship clash at Zebre Rugby.

The duo last featured against Leinster Rugby, but they are now available for the trip to Parma and just in time for that EPCR Challenge Cup tie at Cardiff Arms Park on April 1.

Young centre Mason Grady is also recalled after winning his first cap during Wales’ Six Nations campaign, while Teddy Williams links up with captain Josh Turnbull in the second row and Shane Lewis-Hughes makes his first start since October in the back row.

The pack is completed by a front row of Corey Domachowski, Liam Belcher and Keiron Assiratti, Lloyd Williams partners Priestland at half-back, Max Llewellyn combines with Grady in midfield and the back three comprises Jason Harries, Owen Lane and Ben Thomas.
