Edinburgh Rugby, through to the Heineken Champions Cup Round of 16 later this month, on Thursday celebrated the recall of three of their players to the Scotland side for their 2023 Six Nations finale against Italy at BT Murrayfield on Saturday.

Head coach Gregor Townsend has brought back Blair Kinghorn at fly-half, Sam Skinner into the second row and Hamish Watson at openside flanker.

They join three teammates in the Scotland XV in left wing Duhan van der Merwe, captain and blindside flanker Jamie Ritchie, and loosehead prop Pierre Schoeman.

Exeter Chiefs lock Jonny Gray is again named as vice-captain, while Munster Rugby stand-off Ben Healy is in line to make his Scotland debut off the bench.

Edinburgh visit Leicester Tigers in the Heineken Champions Cup Round of 16 on March 31, a day before Munster travel to Cell C Sharks and two days before Exeter entertain Montpellier Hérault Rugby.
