Wing Rio Dyer scored two tries as EPCR Challenge Cup side Dragons beat Heineken Champions Cup counterparts Ospreys 32-25 in the United Rugby Championship (URC) on Sunday.

The 22-year-old, who is seeking his first try in EPCR competitions, having featured six times over the past three seasons, went over twice in the second half at Rodney Parade.

An Aaron Wainwright score, a penalty try and a JJ Hanrahan three-pointer saw Dragons go into the break at 15-15.

The hosts crossed twice in seven minutes following the restart, with Bradley Roberts dotting down before Dyer produced a superb finish for his first.

And the Welshman intercepted to run in from inside his own half on 74 minutes, splashing over for a score which proved to be decisive.
