Romain Poite is set to referee his 100th match in EPCR’s two main tournaments when Exeter Chiefs welcome Glasgow Warriors in the Heineken Champions Cup on Saturday.

The Frenchman, 46, has overseen 81 European Cup matches, 17 Challenge Cup games and 1 European Cup qualification play-off – between Gloucester Rugby and Connacht Rugby in 2015.

In 2011 Poite took charge of the Heineken Cup final between Leinster Rugby and Northampton Saints at the Millennium Stadium, a game which ended 33-22 in favour of the Irish province.

He is joined by assistants Vincent Blasco Baqué and Stephane Boyer, as well as TMO Denis Grenouillet, for Saturday’s Pool A encounter at Sandy Park.
