The Saracens loanee - who has two Heineken Champions Cup winners’ medals to his name - has sampled the differing styles of domestic rugby in both England and France and gave the French game the edge in terms of power and physicality.

“I think the main difference would be that the physicality of the ball-carrying in France is way, way higher,” said the 27-year-old.

“[If] you look at teams in the [Gallagher] Premiership this year, there are nowhere near as many what you’d call properly physical ball carriers, compared to France, where every weekend, before a game, you're thinking, ‘Blimey, I'm going to have to tackle today’.

"You play La Rochelle, you've got Levani Botia, you play Toulouse [Stade Toulousain] the week after, it's Pita Akhi, you then play Toulon Ma’a Nonu. The list goes on. Every single weekend there is somebody, and that's just the backs.

“If you look at back play in the Premiership, it's a bit more [about] trying to create space through running lines and it's a bit more deceptive, if that makes sense.”

The Montpellier man did, however, list a number of players who will feature for Leicester on Friday night that will provide serious physical challenges for the 2016 Challenge Cup winners.

“Looking ahead to this weekend, guys like Nadolo, Genge and Wiese, you would have them down as a few of what you would call properly physical ball carriers in the Premiership,” Lozowski added.

"I’d say that they have three of the best in the Premiership. You look at those guys, and you think, ‘I am going to have to tackle tonight’.

“Obviously, I’ve played against Leicester a number of times; I know a few of their players quite well.

“I’ve tried to share that with everyone, and we’ve tried to take on board a few of the things we think they might bring, a few of their threats.

“I think we feel pretty well-prepared for the game on Friday night now.”
