Bath Rugby’s Joe Cokanasiga will make his England Test debut against Japan at Twickenham on Saturday weekend after a stellar start to his Heineken Champions Cup campaign.
The wing – who turned 21 on Thursday – scored a first-half try on his Champions Cup bow last month as Bath held Wasps to a 35-35 draw in a thrilling Pool 1 clash.
Cokanasiga is among a Bath trio in the England XV, with No. 8 Zach Mercer making his first Test start and lock Charlie Ewels winning his ninth cap.
Leicester Tigers fly-half George Ford will make his 50th England appearance on Saturday and captains the side after impressing in his opening two Champions Cup matches this season.

The 25-year-old scored five points in Leicester’s 24-10 Round 1 defeat by Ulster Rugby, before kicking 20 in his side’s comprehensive 45-27 win over Scarlets.
Saracens utility back and 2017 Champions Cup winner Alex Lozowski will make his fifth appearance for England on Saturday, in the centre, after featuring for his club in their Round 1 win over Glasgow Warriors.
Saracens hooker Jamie George and lock Maro Itoje also start, while scrum-half Richard Wigglesworth and fly-half Owen Farrell are among the replacements.
