Young Ospreys lock Adam Beard has won a recall to the Wales side for Saturday’s Test against Australia in Cardiff, along with Worcester Warriors wing Josh Adams.

With Adams replacing Luke Morgan for his fifth cap, the return of the 22-year-old Beard for his sixth Test keeps the Ospreys’ contingent at six in the Wales team, reflecting their fine start to this season’s European Rugby Challenge Cup, where they lie second behind Worcester in Pool 2.

Beard’s Ospreys team-mates in the Wales XV include wing George North, prop Nicky Smith, lock Alun Wyn Jones and flankers Dan Lydiate and Justin Tipuric.

Beard takes over from Dragons lock Cory Hill, who is among the replacements, along with Dragons hooker Elliot Dee and Northampton Saints fly-half Dan Biggar.

Dragons No.8 Ross Moriarty retains his place in Warren Gatland’s starting XV and so wins his 25th cap.
