Four-time European Cup winners Leinster Rugby have recalled full-back Rob Kearney and flanker Dan Leavy after injury to face Benetton Rugby in Italy in the Guinness PRO14 on Saturday.

The Irish internationals both missed last weekend’s 28-27 defeat at Toulouse in the Heineken Champions Cup, Kearney with tightness in his quad and Leavy with a calf problem.

That narrow loss left the defending champions second in Pool 1 with six points, two behind the French side who they will meet again in Round 5 on January 12 at the RDS Arena.

There is also a comeback for Irish international Keith Earls on the Munster Rugby left wing on Saturday, when the Irish province take on Glasgow Warriors at Thomond Park in the PRO 14.

Earls, who missed the 36-22 home victory over Gloucester Rugby last weekend that lifted them two points clear at the top of Pool 2 last weekend, signed a contract extension this week.

Ulster Rugby, who sit third in Heineken Champions Cup Pool 4, host Dragons on Friday night, when they give wing Robert Baloucoune his senior debut and recall Australian international Henry Speight on the other wing following his recovery from a knee injury suffered in September.
