Appeal Hearing – Alex Lozowski

The Saracens player, Alex Lozowski, has lodged an appeal against the two-week suspension imposed on him by an independent Disciplinary Committee after he was cited for foul play during his club’s Heineken Champions Cup, Round 1 match against Glasgow Warriors on Sunday, 14 October.
Lozowski was cited for entering a ruck in a dangerous manner and making contact with the Glasgow Warriors hooker, Fraser Brown, in contravention of Law 9.20.
The player is appealing against the initial finding that the alleged act of foul play warranted a red card, and against a subsequent review of the sanction which found that his period of suspension should be extended.
The appeal will be heard in London tomorrow (Friday, 26 October) by an independent Appeal Committee consisting of Rod McKenzie (Scotland), Chair, Simon Thomas (Wales) and Philippe Cavalieros (France).
