Harlequins centre Matt Hopper is to leave the club at the end of the season to join French side Oyonnax.
Hopper, who has made 112 appearances in his six-year spell at the Twickenham Stoop based side, will be hoping his new club can hold onto top spot in PROD2 and return to European action next season.
“My time at Harlequins has been nothing short of amazing. I've been fortunate enough to play in some memorable sides, alongside some unbelievable players,” said the 32-year-old Hopper, who has played for the England Saxons.
“The chance to continue my career and make a change was something I could not pass up at this stage and I look forward to what the future holds. I leave with a heavy heart and a head full of great memories.”
Oyonnax made their first appearance in the Champions Cup last season, but then found themselves being relegated from the TOP 14. They currently lead PROD2 by two points from Agen with three games left to play.
The ‘Mountain Men’ endured a testing time in their maiden Champions Cup campaign in 2015/16. Pitched in a group with eventual winners Saracens, Irish province Ulster and Toulouse, Oyonnax finished third after picking up a solitary 32-14 win against their French rivals at the Stade Charles Mathon.
