Alan Quinlan returns to the Munster team as he continues his fitness battle ahead of the Heineken Cup final against Biarritz Olympique.

Quinlan returns to the Munster squad for the Celtic League this weekend for the first time since he sustained a knee injury in the Heineken Cup game against Sale Sharks in Edgeley Park last October.

With a total of 48 Heineken Cup appearances and 50 points in the tournament, Quinlan’s experinence would be valuable to the Munster team in the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff on Saturday 20 May.

And with Frank Roche, Tony Buckley, Federico Pucciariello, Marcus Horan and Jerry Flannery not available, coach Declan Kidney has called up Damien Varley (Garryowen) and Tim Ryan (UCC) for Friday’s game against Ospreys.
