Munster prop Marcus Horan is struggling with a calf injury, ahead of Saturday’s Heineken Cup final against Biarritz Olympique.

Horan hasn’t played since Munster’s quarter-final win over Perpignan after sustaining the injury, and the reports suggest he may not be ready for the match.

Other injury worries for Munster are not so serious. Neither John Kelly nor Paul O’Connell has trained this week, but both are expected to be fit in time for the game.

Kelly is suffering from a shoulder complaint, while O’Connell turned his ankle in Munster’s defeat at the Ospreys a fortnight ago.

Rob Henderson, Mike Mullins, and Tomas O’Leary are all ready to step into the breach should Kelly be ruled out, while Christian Cullen is likely to be on the bench for the final, even though he limped off the pitch during the match against the Ospreys as well.
