The ERC has announced the referees who are to preside over the upcoming Heineken Cup quarter-finals.

Alan Lewis and Joel Jutge will take charge of their fifth Heineken Cup quarter-finals when the knock-out stages of Europe’s premier club rugby tournament kicks-off on the first weekend in April.

Lewis (Ireland) will control the Sunday showdown between Biarritz Olympique Pays Basque and Sale Sharks while Jutge (France) will be in the middle for the all-England quarter-final between Leicester Tigers and Bath Rugby at The Walkers Stadium.

English official Dave Pearson will take charge of his first tournament quarter-final when he referees the clash between reigning champions Toulouse and Leinster at Le Stadium on Saturday, 1 April.


Welsh official Nigel Whitehouse will control his fourth Heineken Cup quarter-final when he takes charge of the match between Munster and Perpignan at Lansdowne Road.
